Review of the Cast and Characters

Page 3

This is page 3 of the three pages about the characters in Dilbert. This is the one that will focus on the Otherwise characters, the ones who don't live with Dilbert or work with him. So, read on!

Click here to view a picture of Dilbert's mom. Another character that Dilbert associates with is his mother. Known as Dilmom, she has no real name. She is like traditional mother/grandmother, with a high tolerance and a good attitude. However, she has a hidden knowledge of technology. Dilbert gets his technology knowledge from his mother. However, she would definitely beat him in a contest. Her husband, which has never been seen, we learned was lost at the mall in Christmas of 1992. That's about all that we know about Dilbert's parents.

Click here to view a picture of the Elbonians. Some other characters that Dilbert has come into contact with is the Elbonians. The Elbonians live in a western, small, former Communism country, full of idiots. An example:
Reporter: What has caused you to turn your weapons on your own people in civil war?
Elbonians: Weapons? We can use weapons? Well no wonder this was taking so long!
Elbonia is a country made entirely of mud. There system of transportation consists of a very large slingshot. There have been numerous adventures in Elbonia, such as Dogbert taking over it with a hover craft. But, not much new has happened recently.

Click here to view a picture of Liz. Dilbert has a girlfriend named Liz. Liz is an engineer at a different company than Dilbert's. She is smart, funny, good at sports, and a lot of other admirable traits. She and Dilbert met at a soccer league. She and Dilbert scored many points by Liz bonking the ball of of his head, into the goal. Later, they started dating. The relationship between Dilbert and Liz was pretty good. Liz occasionally did a test on Dilbert, trying to find out if some stereotypes against men were true. She also tricked him several times. Nothing major, though. Recently, we haven't seen much of Liz. She and Dilbert are sort of seperated, but not officially. Only time will tell if they get back together.

Click here to view a picture of Phil. The most evil (other then the point haired boss) is Phil, The Prince of Insufficient Light . Phil is the Ruler of "Heck" (not *ell), and he "darns" (not *amns) people for misdeamenors. He appeared in the 1st year (1989) of the strip. He pops up in about some of the adventures that people have. That's usually about once or twice each year. He's not quite as evil as he once was. He originally looked like the boss. When the boss lost his jowels, so did the boss. When the boss got pointy hair, Phil got a cape. We learned in 1996 that the boss and Phil are brothers. It was obvious to most people. Phil hasn't that much major action lately.

Click here to view a picture of the Garbage Man. Another person in Dilbert is The World's Smartest garbage man. The Garbage man is the smartest being on the face of the earth. But, why is he a garbage man? Well, if the smartest human on earth chooses a career that you, a normal human, don't understand, why would HE be wrong? Anyway, the garbage man has been around to help Dilbert and dogbert in a lot of ways, such as creating a robot and cloning Dilbert back from the dead using his own garbage. the garbage man is a master of philosophy and technology, so he helps everybody. He even won the nobel prize a few weeks ago. He is superior to everybody, but he is humble, so he fits in perfectly.
